About Il Padrino

Introducing Il Padrino Restaurant, a welcoming spot tucked away at 33 Wheelock St, Middlewich CW10 9AG, United Kingdom, where the atmosphere feels relaxed yet lively enough to make any visit feel like a small occasion. From the moment you step inside, Il Padrino gives off that easygoing restaurant vibe that works just as well for casual dinners as it does for longer, chatty evenings with friends. The space feels comfortable rather than formal, which makes it ideal if you’re popping in for a quick bite or settling down for a proper dine-in experience. At the same time, the takeaway option is handy for those days when you want good food without lingering at the table. What really stands out at Il Padrino is the range of offerings, because it manages to cater to different moods without trying too hard. You can enjoy a glass of wine, a cold beer, or explore their selection of spirits and cocktails, which adds a social buzz to the place, especially later in the evening. Coffee is also available, making it easy to stretch your visit or drop by for something lighter. The menu leans into variety, with small plates that are perfect for sharing, as well as healthier options for diners who want something balanced without sacrificing flavour. There’s also late-night food on offer, which makes Il Padrino a reliable choice when other kitchens start winding down and you’re still craving something satisfying. Alcohol is served thoughtfully alongside the food, giving the whole experience a well-rounded feel rather than just a place to eat and leave. Overall, Il Padrino comes across as a restaurant that understands its local crowd, offering flexibility, a friendly setting, and enough choice to keep regulars interested while still being easy to enjoy for first-time visitors.

Such a lovely restaurant. The staff were so attentive and made sure we felt super welcome and comfortable. I found this restaurant on Google Maps 10 minutes before we set off for dinner. We gave them a ring to make sure the kitchen was still open and even though we arrived quite late in the evening, they still accommodated towards us. The restaurant is beautiful inside, decorated with wine bottles and flowers, creating a very chic and elegant atmosphere. To start we ordered the plain garlic bread with burrata and tomatoes which was so light and airy and refreshing. I then had the Ragu and my partner had the stroganoff. Both dishes were cooked to perfection. Honestly, we couldn’t fault a thing. Even the house white was great. A really lovely meal and hope to be back soon.

It was a random restaurant I picked when I had my visit in Chester a week ago, still drooling when we’re in Honk Kong now . My family are so so so impressed with the service, the guy (he must be a brilliant dancer) was so helpful, friendly and efficient. Service was excellent. Needless to say, pasta and pizza were so yummy!! Wish we could come again in our next trip. Thank you boss for the recommendation of the scenery spots around. Jodrell Bank etc.. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Genuine italian food experience! Went with friends and we love it One of my mates had liver pate and that was the best I've ever tasted. My go to is Linguine con gamberoni, and that was one of the best I've ever had; possibly on my top 2. From starters to dessert - everything was delicious. Also, the staff were really amicable, and politely suggested dessert when the one I was going to go for finished; and then I had the best dessert ever. Needless to say, I am coming back again and bringing the husband with me.

I had read some older reviews that mentioned parking was a nightmare. Visiting on a Sunday, I found the main high street almost empty, which made parking very easy. I can imagine that on a busy weekday or Saturday it could be much more difficult, so I was glad that the street does not have double yellow lines. When I arrived, I waited by the door for a little while before being greeted by a lovely waiter who instantly made up for the delay. The building and the setting inside are both stunning. Dining here did not feel like Middlewich at all. While it was not quite Italy, it had the feel of higher end dining in London. The restaurant was clearly popular, as they had already run out of half the desserts, but the one I chose was absolutely worth it. I had the pistachio profiteroles, and it was a beautiful way to finish my meal. My starter was the Gamberoni Alla Diavola, followed by Linguine Con Gamberoni as my main. I deliberately chose two prawn dishes to see if the cooking would be consistent, and it really was. Both courses were excellent. I also received a warm farewell from another member of staff who seemed to be the manager, thanking me for coming. That little gesture really stood out. A side note worth mentioning is that they craft their own lager called Il Padrino. I tried it and found it very good. Overall, Il Padrino delivers excellent food in a striking setting, with welcoming staff and an atmosphere that feels special. I will definitely be returning.

Wow. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Issy our waitress was FANTASTIC. very accommodating and understanding, chatty, polite and lovely in general. She really made our visit that extra special and memorable. The food was exceptional, we ordered various dishes and everything was fantastic. The chef brought out food and took time to chat with us - you could tell how passionate he was about his expertise. Real authentic, fresh and bursting with flavour. The setting is lovely, spacious and very beautiful surroundings. 10/10 in every aspect. We will 100% be back. Thanks all at il Padrino.

I have been to this restaurant twice now and it was as good this time as the first. The place is well maintained, the staff are helpful and friendly. The food choice is very extensive, portion size is just right and it tastes really good. A very popular place to go and I will be going again. The final bit was lovely as the owner and bar staff on the bar shook everyone's hand, thanked us for coming. That was really nice.
